Workshops

Bang On! have designed childrens' workshops which explore all aspects of unusual instrumentation, teach basic rhythms and show that music can be made from anything! All workshops are preceded by a twenty-minute performance from Bang On! to give the children an insight into junk drumming and to inspire and encourage their creativity.

We have two types of workshop, a one hour 'Bang On!' workshop and a one and a half hour ‘Recycling’ workshop.

The one hour 'Bang On!' workshops vary according to the age of the children, we cater for all ages between reception and year 8. These workshops start by examining our performance and looking at how and what we played. We then move on to get all the children playing. The workshops end with a performance by the class demonstrating what they have learnt.

The new ‘Recycling’ workshop is especially for children from reception up to year 4. This one and a half hour workshop incorporates all the elements of the Bang On! workshop as well as an extra section devoted to recycling awareness and the importance of the 3 R’s – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

We can generally cater for up to 30 children per workshop, however this may vary depending on age and ability. For more details or to book a workshop, please email us!

Both of us have valid CRB checks and Public Liability insurance
